Oh and lets not forget the famous horses and jaunting cars! Take a trip through the park in one of these and experience travel from a bygone era. If you would like to work up an appetite a trip to Torc Waterfall is a must, climb the copious number of steps to the top and be rewarded by the splendour of Torc Waterfall in all its glory, whilst being surrounded by the national park’s canopy of trees and plants.
As it approaches evening and you’ve worked up an appetite, go to one of Killarney’s many pubs where you’ll enjoy some fine traditional food and sample Irish traditional music as you relax in comfortable surroundings.
On your final day in Killarney arise early and enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in the Lake Hotel to get you ready for the day. Pop in your car and travel through the Ring of Kerry and witness the natural beauty of our local countryside, absorbing sights of majestic mountains, stunning coasts and of course our great lakes. However, if a drive doesn’t take your fancy there’s always a boat trip across the Killarney lakes where you can experience Killarney from a totally different perspective. As you travel through the lake you will become totally engrossed by the surrounding hills and if you’re lucky enough you might even catch a glimpse of one of our resident White-tailed eagles.
After your trip around the Ring of Kerry or your boat trip across the lake finish your stay on a high note, enjoy a delicious late lunch in the Lake Hotel bistro and relax as you look back on 48 hours of memorable experiences.
