Head Pastry Chef Coco Pichard combines her passion for patisserie, intricate skills, years of experience and exciting flavour combinations to create a truly memorable afternoon tea experience. Originally from Angers, France, Coco trained as a chef in Lyon before specialising as a pastry chef here in Ireland. An avid gardener, Coco strives to use local ingredients in her creations and even makes a herbal tea from herbs grown in the hotel garden to accompany the afternoon tea that is served with honey produced from the hotel’s very own beehives.
Guests and visitors can enjoy afternoon tea in an elevated area of our Castlelough restaurant, where they are treated to as selection of savoury treats, and a medley of sweet delights accompanied by a variety of delectable teas or a snipe of prosecco all while taking in the breathtaking views of the lake, mountains and ruins of the McCarthy Mór Castle.
